Been a bit of a hiatus because of lack of access to wifi in the depths of Wiltshire. Over the last couple of days we cycled from Portsmouth up past Southampton, skirted north of Salisbury and headed back to Chippenham.
Our total distance for this trip was 1018 km.
Bye, and thanks for reading our blog.
T&M
Making hay while the sun shines.
Attractive little church.
Our last B&B was this lovely farmhouse in the depths of Wiltshire.
Along the Kennet & Avon canal. The famous flight of 16 locks at Devizes. Takes about 3 hours for a narrowboat to traverse the flight.
Intriguing set of soap, shampoo etc in one of our B&Bs.
We stopped by the hall of residence where Tony lived when he was at University of Southampton 40 years ago. Now old, dilapidated, with bits falling off. And the building behind him doesn’t look any better.
Back on cycle route 24.
Celebratory end-of-trip pint at the Bell in Lacock 🙂
Another brilliant achievement on two wheels (on four wheels?). Well done – and thanks for the photos and entertaining updates as you went along!
What a great trip! Looking forward to hearing all about it in person. A bientot!
